About this site
Free Deed Poll does one thing: it helps you make a correct UK deed poll without paying for it.
Changing your name is something you can do yourself. You need the right wording, a clean document and two witnesses, and that’s what this site is for. It asks for as little as possible, works on any phone or computer, and doesn’t need an account.
Who runs it
Free Deed Poll is run by changeyourname.co.uk, a UK deed poll service. If you’d rather someone prepared, checked and posted a printed deed poll for you, that’s what they do, for a fee. You never need it to use this site, and nobody who uses this site is sent marketing.
How it stays free
The site costs very little to run. It doesn’t show adverts, and it doesn’t sell or share anything you type. Some people who find it go on to use the paid service, and that covers the cost.
What it isn’t
It isn’t a law firm, and it doesn’t give legal advice. The guides explain how deed polls work for most people, with links to GOV.UK where the official detail lives. If your situation is unusual or disputed, such as a disagreement over a child’s name, it’s worth getting proper advice.
